Godlike

I’m not the biggest expert on productivity builds but from the recommendations from puget systems who are highly regarded, you’re recommended to get 32GB or RAM and a 8GB GPU for 4K editing. Getting another 16GB of 3600mhz RAM seems like a plan (always try and get the same RAM as mixing RAM can cause issues) and GPU-wise you’re looking at something like the RTX 3060 or above.

For the RAM go to your order page, find the order and click on it, then scroll down and click on the upgrade button, and select another 2 stick of the same RAM from there, whilst there you could also check if they have any of the 3060 GPU's available if not check out the AMD cards, the more VRAM the better for editing with

In a matter of fact I'm just starting to use DaVinci. My specs below (please note the build is for gaming). I use Lightroom 6 too

Can anyone point me in the direction of a GPU that's in stock? Based on budget and availability I'm looking at a 3070 Ti on overclockers. What's the difference between the MSI, Gigabyte, Asus ones etc?

What's your budget for the GPU as you can order one direct from PCS which will be far cheaper than a shop.

If you go to your main page, click on the order for your machine above, scroll down and click on upgrade you can get a 3070 Ti for just under £830, and the extra 16GB for about £62, Plus P&P

3070Ti handles 4K in Resolve no problem (don't edit in 4K though, just use optimised media or proxies in Resolve timeline then render in 4K using the GPU) i'm on 32GB RAM and a 5900x, a fast project drive is also going to give improvements.

3060Ti is ahead of the 3060 in Resolve despite having 4GB less VRAM due to more CUDA cores and bus frequency advantages.

I have the gpu, connected it up but monitor says no signal and the fans aren't going. I'm assuming it needs a power supply if anyone can help so I don't mess it up
