Well that's the thing do i need to spend loads to upgrade my system to 1440? I know its a vague question as i can run anything low on 1440p and bottleneck everything but im looking to run it comfortable over 120fps.

The budget is a fixed thing, it doesn’t change based on anything, just need to know your max.

Price varies hugely depending on the quality of performance you can afford

You'll (obviously) need a new monitor. You'll also need a new graphics card. Something in the following list would be suitable, whether from PCS or elsewhere:
  • 6700 XT
  • 6750 XT
  • 6800
  • 7700 XT
  • 7800 XT
  • 3060 Ti/3070 (but they're not the best choices due to limited VRAM)
  • 4070

The best advice usually comes if there is a budget in mind. We can tell you if it’s worth it to upgrade or if it’s worth saving more for that new system. Hence we ask for a budget in mind.

No one giving advice on specs on here works for PCS so they will tell you honestly and not just spend your budget for spending sake.

What would be nice to know though is what would you like to get out of gaming. Are you a hardened online gamer who needs the FPS and reaction times etc or are you wanting the pleasures of the visuals as well.

Why do you want 1440p? Have you got a
Monitor in mind?

I wouldn't be buying any graphics card until Nvidia does the "Super" 4000 series refresh, allegedly in mid-January.

Even if they end up keeping the current MSRP for current card and adding 20% for 10% extra performant cards? ;)
What if they're the same MSRP as the current card for 10% more performance and the current cards drop in price?
