What upgrade can I get to help cool down my GPU when playing MW?

Hi everyone, below I have a list of my PC specs that I customised here on PCSpecialist and I just have the question, what upgrade can I get to help cool down my GPU when playing Modern Warfare?

I like to play games on max settings because why not when you have a great graphics card for it, I want to experience what I'm paying for but for some reason my GPU temperature in-game reaches 85c and the game shows 140-160fps which is great because I'm playing at 144hz so it looks incredibly smooth, but every now and then the game will freeze for a few seconds and then continue from where I should've been before the game froze on me (for example, when I press W to walk forward I will appear a few years ahead after the freeze) then in the corner I have my latency always on, it will shoot to 999ms when I'm usually at 19ms. So it feels like my game is freezing, lagging then trying to catch up in a few seconds, it's making it very hard to play the game, it never used to do this for months of playing at max settings and also streaming to Twitch @ 1080p60fps! I'm confused as to why is it happening now where if my gpu temp starts to go over 80ish the game performance starts to deteriorate? Is it because it sometimes reaches 85c? I've opened up my case and cleaned the fans best I can, taken off the side panel hoping it will help it stay cool, it's tough to clean to GPU itself because it has a protective shield around it and I can only see one fan on it which I've tried to clean and it has definitely helped, the GPU runs at 75-80 for about an hour with only a few freezes then goes 80+ and the freezes make it unplayable in a competitive mode.

What I'm looking for is someone with the know-how to help suggest a fan I can fit into my case stated below so I can hopefully lower my GPU temp. I've seen some streamers run max settings with worse GPU's than mine and their's stay below 70c... Would it be better to install another fan or try liquid cooling if that's a possibility?

Thank you to anyone that reads this and can help! :)

Thanks for the response! Would you be able to recommend any fans that can fit in there so I know what to buy? Or do you think it would be easier to just buy a new case and move my set up into one with better airflow?

Okay thank you for your help, I definitely don't want to invalidate the warranty but I also want to do the better long term solution... Quite the dilemma. I've seen in the Bios that I can make the fans work harder, will that help the airflow and potentially cool down the GPU at the expense of a quiet system?

I know it may be unsightly, but can you remove the front of the case? This can often make a big difference with quiet cases.

See where you get with that, then consider adding fans to aid airflow.

Hi, thank you for the response! So I've basically taken the side panels, top and front of the case off and now I don't reach 80c! It usually hovers between 77-79 but it's already a huge difference because I get no crashes. :D Now I would like to get a fan or two to put at the front of the case, is there two that you could recommend for me that PCS sell or elsewhere? I only ask because getting recommendations from a moderator and enthusiast is much better than me being left to look myself, I will probably get one that doesn't fit in my case or something. I'm not too bothered about the price, maybe a low-end/mid/high-end range recommendations would be the best for me to go forward with?

I can't see past the ML fans that Corsair do. As much as they have RGB function etc it's the ML aspect of it that's appealing. They work really well and they are fairly silent.

Check what size of fan the case accepts and either purchase the ML120 or the ML140 Corsair options to suit (120 = 120mm etc).

I have found Corsair ML120 Pro 120mm fan black no LED for £20, what's the difference between ML120 and ML120 Pro? I mean £20 is really cheap so I might as well get two.

I believe they are all labelled "Pro" but I could be wrong. I don't know of any variations in the naming structure. You won't go wrong with any of them though, they're a fantastic range.
