Below are the specs for my new PC. I know nothing about this stuff, but am starting to become very interested! What do you think will be the limiting factor in terms of FPS for this PC?

There's nothing that's massively effecting the build performance wise (a 3080 is a beast of a card) but I'd look at upping the PSU to an 850W for a more comfortable system and and going for a newer generation of Corsair cooler (either the PRO XT or Capellix) which will be quieter and more powerful.

From your wording, I'm assuming it's a PC you've ordered and is yet to arrive. Is this correct? It'd be good to give it a bit of a once over if this is the case as there's a few other things we could change and we'd want to make sure you're getting the most for your money!

Hello,

Thanks for the input! Yes, that's right. The PC is still in its pre-production stage and I can still make amendments. What else might you recommend?

We’d need some other info before we make suggestions. Once we have this info we’d be happy to help!

1) Budget- What did you spend/ what are you looking to spend?
2) Uses- what will you be using the PC for? As much info here is great!
3) Monitor - This is vital for the right GPU pairing, especially as the 3080 you have here is such a beastly card. Either make and model or resolution and refresh rate would be great!
4) Green Link- it will have been at the bottom of the page where you got the rest of the spec from, it’s super useful for suggesting changes. If not, how to get it is here

Thanks!

The cost at the moment is around £2300, VAT included. Id rather not spend any more than around £50 per piece more than I already am. I have just upgraded to an 850W PSU and the PRO XT cooler that you recommended!

The PC will be for playing Warzone, streaming, and light editing of gameplay. This might involve playing and streaming for around 10 hours at a time. Because of the nature of the game, my in game settings will be put to low so as to maximize FPS.

At the moment I am playing on a 144hz gaming monitor. I'm not home unfortunately so I can't check the exact make and model. Should I be getting significantly more than 144 FPS with the PC I will look to upgrade the monitor to 240hz anyway, so any recommendations here would be great too! Id rather not spend more than around £200 here. Also, I'll be playing at 1080p, again to maximize FPS, so perhaps the monitor isn't greatly important, providing it can run at the FPS of the PC?

Here is the green link -

This doesn't seem to reflect my amendments though. I have changed the HDD to a 1TB and changed the SSD to:
1TB SAMSUNG 970 EVO PLUS M.2, PCIe NVMe (up to 3500MB/R, 3300MB/W)

I have also amended the order to change the PSU to an 850W and the cooler to the PRO XT!

Cheers!

Totally agree with @Steveyg on this one. A 1440p 144hz monitor upgrade would be much more worth it than a 1080p 240hz upgrade.

The build from him also looks super solid although I'd personally go for a H150i Capellix (it'll look fantastic in the 5000X) and add a 2TB HDD for bulk file storage (storing VOD's, edited vidoes, documents etc)

And maybe up the PSU to a 1000W for future upgrade ability
