What's the CL timings on their rams? It doesn't say!

Trying to decide between these two:
- 16GB CORSAIR VENGEANCE 3200mhz (2x8 GB)
- 16GB CORSAIR VENGEANCE RGB PRO 3600mhz (2x8 GB)

Sure, the 3600 is higher than 3200... But the PCSpecialist store doesn't say anywhere what timings the RAMs use, which could also affect performance.
The price difference is only 10 dollars, so it's just a matter of which is better.

Anyone know what the timings of these are, and which one I should pick?

We can't give advice on individual components without seeing the full spec you're looking at. Please post the full spec from the configurator. :)

Not sure how to post the full specs, but here's the mains:

- Motherboard: ASUS® PRIME Z590-P (LGA1200, USB 3.2, PCIe 4.0) ARGB Ready
- CPU: Intel® Core™ i7 8-core processor i7-11700K (3,6GHz) 16MB cache
- GPU: 12GB NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3060 - HDMI, DP
- RAM: Either one or the other from the original post.

Still wondering what timings the RAMs have, as the PC Specialist store does not list that in the specifications.
Videos comparing 3200mhz CL16 against a 3600mhz CL18 show the 3600mhz being slightly faster. But CL19 or higher would probably be slower, so it'd be helpful to know the timings on the RAMs sold here.

It's not a good idea to get stroppy when you're asking for help. We ask for the full spec for a reason, not just to be difficult.

If you had used the forum search function, I reckon you could have found the answer quite easily, as its fairly regularly asked, or the figures quoted in posts, with the latest within the last month

It seems a bit overkill for a question about their store stock, the information I provided should have been enough for this topic.
The ask for your full config is to ensure there's no obvious mistakes/poor choices in the build which could cause issues later.

In your case - unless you have bought one elsewhere - it may be suggested that the SATA SSD in there is not the optimal choice and you should fit an m.2 SSD instead (500 vs 5000MB/s); and if you're planning on upgrading anything then the a 750/850W RM PSU may be a better option.

The DDR4 RAM at 3200mhz tends to be CAS16, the 3600mhz tends to be CAS18. If you want to ensure tighter/faster timings by buying your own RAM then buy the slowest, smallest stick you can (a 4GB of 2400mhz) and swap it out once you have the PC.

It's not a good idea to get stroppy when you're asking for help. We ask for the full spec for a reason, not just to be difficult.
You were being unhelpful, and diverting the topic in the wrong direction.
I understand that as a moderator you want to keep a certain standard on your forums but it came off as asking just for the sake of asking (i.e asking for full specs even after I listed the essentials, even tho the full specs clearly wasn't needed to answer my question).

Personally, when I participate in forums I try to stay on topic as much as possible, because people will google these kind of questions in the future (as I did prior to even asking it, without finding the answer), and there's nothing worse than finding forum threads where the OP asks the question you want an answer to, and then having to scroll through a bunch of unrelated responses.
The title asks about RAM timings on RAMs sold by this company, and when people find this thread on google later, that's the answer they're going to search for, which was easily provided by another helpful forum user, which is now listed 5 posts down into the thread for no reason.

There's now also a bunch of off-topic discussions that could have been easily avoided. This is exactly why it's detrimental to an online forum to divert too far from the original question, and if that's how things are done here, no wonder why I couldn't find a clear answer to the question when I added "pcspecialist" to my google search.

Edit: Perhaps, if anything, I may have asked my question in the wrong sub-forum? In that case, it could have been moved.

Anyways, before this possibly gets further down a rabbit hole we dont want to go down, if you do want advice on the spec as a whole, or anything else you are welcome to start a thread for it or continue in this thread (though I presume you'd want to start another) :)

I'm glad a few answered your actual question :)

Not at all. I was asking a standard question that we always ask - and for very good reasons. When you ask for help (anywhere, not just here) you need to be a little more considerate and a lot less bullish.
Being considerate is a 2 way street, mister.
I just said it felt overkill to post full specs for this question, but I did comply anyways.
No reason to call me stroppy and bullish because of it. This is now the 2nd time you go off-topic just to be rude to me, even after the question was answered and another moderator suggested we dont go further down this path.
I agree with that moderator. This is unnecessary.
