When is a PCSpecialist not a PCSpecialist ...when it's a forum

From what I've been reading, new members get the impression that, as the forum is part of the PCS website, that it is run and administered by PCSpecialist. I did until the advice I was getting clearly showed otherwise - suggesting kit that saved me money. Maybe there is a way to make it clearer? I can't remember seeing anything when I signed up.
I've said so here and on other forums (or should that be fora?) that it restores my faith in human nature, that people, particularly ones connected with computer soft and hardware, are willing to share their knowledge - for free - and spend so much of their time and effort doing so. Long may it remain so.

Thanks for the kind words. [emoji3]

I think computer techies generally want to share what they know and enjoy helping others.

Whilst the PCS fora are a particularly friendly and helpful place, one that's blessed with people who collectively have a wide range of knowledge and experience, I don't think we're that different from other techies.

I'm very aware that stuff that I find interesting (internals mostly) isn't shared by everyone and most people just want to make things work. I do tend to get carried away sometimes and provide rather more detail than people probably want! Mea culpa. [emoji3]
