When using DVI cable the monitor goes black after windows boots.

Monitor used is a ProLite G2773HS. Using another cable is out of the question as this one has a perfect connection and the DVI is nessasary for the monitor to be able to unlock its framerate from 60hz to 120hz. Issues with hardware seems improbable as it has already worked once so I know its not that. This really means a lot for me and would save a couple hundred bucks by not buying a new monitor.

I would suggest trying another cable and/or a clean installation of drivers but you mentioned you don't want to try another cable and you don't think is a hardware issue. You should Call technical support to diagnose the problem

Thanks, I have good faith that someone's figured this out before, because I've tried uninstalling the drivers and using different ones but to be honest, requiring DVI to unlock its frame rate seems a tad silly.

I had almost exactly the same problem, was using a dvi-d(single link) cable which worked fine for a bit but suddenly started losing signal on my monitor right after the pcspecialist logo appeared. Bought another cable, a dvi-d(dual link) and it works perfectly now. Could be worth a try, can get a new cable for like a fiver :)
