Yes, definitely. The GPU will be the first bottleneck and you can’t replace them, so get the beefiest you can.

Agreed, definitely worthwhile when funds allow. GPU is the key with any gaming laptop..... when it's out of touch, it goes in the bin (harsh but fair). The better the GPU you buy now, the longer it will remain relevant at a consistent level of gaming.

The RTX 2070 appears to be £200 more, in the Vortex anyway, so you'd be pushing to £1600 I think?

Whether that's worth it is up to you. It's more powerful, so will let you play at higher settings for longer and will be a little further into the future before you decide to upgrade. On the other hand the RTX 2060 is excellent at 1080p and you may prefer to just save the money.
