Why does the configurator limit RAM to 68 Gb when the motherboard can handle 128 Gb ?

Hello, I noticed that it was no longer possible to buy 128 Gb RAM on any configuration. What is the reason please ?

You can order over 64Gb on Threadripper and Xeon builds.

I'm not sure why PCS don't allow it on Z690 or X570, or below, you'd need to ask them directly, none of us work for them.

The >64GB memory kits are all ECC memory, which is a different thing to standard memory. Ryzen chips unofficially support it, but Intel don't. I'd guess (and emphasis on "guess") that it's not worth PCS stocking 128GB kits of memory for the very rare customer who needs it. For understandable reasons, they only sell memory as it comes in kits from the manufacturer, rather than combining multiple kits in builds.
