Why has it been in pre production for 13 days?

so my i recommended my girlfriend to order a pc from pcs and she has but now she’s been waiting 19 working days all together and has been in pre production for 13 of them working days ehy is it taking so long and i’ve been checking every part is in stock rn?

They only have so many builders, who can only build so many laptops a day and with the high demand caused by covid , even if they have all the parts they still need to build all the builds in the same position that were ordered before yours

There is a build queue that PCS service in date of order. 19 working days isn't very long at all, their order book is insanely busy - lockdown has caused a massive increase in the volume of orders.

Ordering a custom built laptop isn't at all like ordering a prebuilt 'high-street' model. It will get done as fast as PCS are able.
