Why the difference in price between the ROG Strix 2080 and 2080 super?

Hello,

I was configuring my PC and I am going to go with an ROG 2080 super in my build, but I was wondering why the standard ROG 2080 is more expensive than the super? Surely the super is the more superior card? The price difference is £56.00.

Some clarification would be great.

Thanks

Because Asus GPU prices are crazy.

And because the 2080 Super is an older model, and PCS's pricing for older models of GPU is often a little odd (newer models can be cheaper, but the prices of older models don't come down)

You're not missing anything, the prices are what they are. if something is priced such that it makes no sense to buy it, don't buy it! :) i.e. don't buy the 2080 (non-Super) Strix

NB: The 2080 Super Strix is almost £100 more than the 'regular' 2080 Super. I wouldn't pay that much money for basically no performance gain. If your concern is not getting a GPU with a blower cooler, call PCS tomorrow and ask what model of the 2080 Super they are currently using. Chances are it will be a Zotac or Palit twin fan.
