I have already posted about this on the linux forum here:
http://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?37606-Wifi-11n-(5Ghz-band)-on-Ultranote-II.

As I said there, I have an Intel Wireless 7260 supporting 11bgn on a new Ultranote II.

I don't seem to be able to get an 11n connection on the 5GHz band. The 7260 chipset supports that.

Does the 5GHz band work on Windows? Is it supported? I did wonder whether the Clevo chassis includes
5GHz antennae?

I don't see any reference to that card supporting the 5GHz channel:

http://www.intel.co.uk/content/www/uk/en/wireless-products/wireless-n-7260-bluetooth.html

It's not listed in the configurator either which states "INTEL® WIRELESS N-7260(300 Mbps): The INTEL® WIRELESS N-7260 network card offers great connection speeds on a single band. "

The AC version does support dual channel as does the ULTIMATE N-6300

I found http://http://ark.intel.com/products/75440/Intel-Dual-Band-Wireless-N-7260 which I assumed was the relevant card.

Ah. I didn't click on the ? icon so didn't see the longer description. I think that I might have ordered the -AC version if I had realised.

Thanks for the information: I can stop looking to see if I needed to set a driver parameter that I had missed.
