Hi,

My brother has a PC coming soon and needs some help with the windows install.

He ordered it without Windows so it'll come with a trial version. Also has just a single HDD. Installing an SSD later from an older machine. Needs to remove Windows from the HDD and install it on the SSD. Would like some advice on the best way/order to do this.

Bootable USB drive, install windows on SSD then completely reformat HDD?

Thanks

Pretty close yes :).
Though during the installation process of Windows you can reformat drives then and there so you could just format the HDD whilst you're there if you want
