There are many causes of a black screen on boot. The most likely is something you did yesterday, so were there any Windows updates or other changes you made yesterday? Another common cause is the Windows Fast Startup features, some motherboards don't play very will with it.

It's worth powering off completely, waiting a few minutes, and then trying again.

If nothing else works then start in safe mode. The way to do that with a black screen is to interrupt the Windows boot process three times. So boot the PC and before the Windows boot process loads hold the power on button down for 5 seconds until it powers off. Then power it on again and before the Windows boot process loads hold the power button down again until it powers off. If you do that three times then on the fourth boot you'll see the 'It looks like Windows didn't load correctly' recovery screen.

In there select See Advanced Repair Options > Troubleshoot > Advanced Options > Startup Settings. Windows will ask to restart (you must click ok). When Windows restarts you'll see a list of menu items, choose Enable Safe Mode with Networking.

Your display resolution will be all screwed up but that's ok, in safe mode Windows only loads a limited set of drivers.

If you installed any Windows updates yesterday uninstall them whilst in safe mode. Also go to Power and Sleep Settings > Additional Power Settings > Choose what the power buttons do, and in there uncheck the box labelled Fast Startup.

Now reboot and see whether Windows boot normally. If not you'll need the Windows installation media.

Boot the installation media and select Repair My computer. In there select Startup Repair and see whether that helps.
