I am using a machine which was purchased via PC specialist and I am trying to get an Xbox 1 Wired controller to register it so it can be used however no matter what I do to get the controller to work comes to nothing.
I have tried the following using all available USB ports on the PC:-
- Manually updating windows to ensure its up to date.
- Going to device manager and finding the device under "other devices" and attempting to update it automatically (https://gyazo.com/8921344ec82aecdf74deb6888d303f2c)
- Following the same above steps and manually installing the driver from the list of drivers on the PC and selecting ''Xbox Peripherals''
I am meant to be doing a 24 hour charity stream on Monday and without the controller it will make certain games extremely hard to play which will not be enjoyable for me or the viewers.
If anyone can provide me with something which will fix this I will be very thankful.
