Hi all wondering if anyone else had this problem, ordered my new pc and very happy when got a email last thursday to say it was on it's way and should be here next day.

So asked old man very kindly if he would mind waiting for parcel at home on Friday and he said yes. Was checking Yodel/DHL website and saw parcel was out for delivery while at work on Friday and looking forward to a weekend of playing with new machine.

Then about 2pm got phonecall from pissed off old man, who advised my despite being in house all morning, had now found card left of back door mat to say Yodel had called and there been no one in to collect.

Anyway got home and rung Yodel up and guess what got automated service and rebooked delivery for Monday 16th May and thought no more about it.

Now comes the problem yesterday (saturday) i checked Yodel/DHL web site and found note saying none delivery awaiting instructions for new delivery date. So i tried calling Yodel again first ve automated service which advised no new delivery date for parcel and then i spoke to a person and thats when things go stupid.

Have been advised that as i booked redlivery ve automated system "they" have no way of checking to see if booking has gone though until Monday morning which will then be too late to rebook for that day, so all they could offer was to book it for tuesday as now to late to book for monday or for me to "wait and see" if turnes up on monday.

So now had to beg old man to wait in on Monday "just incase booking has gone though" and if it don't then will have to rearange another booking for another deliver date.

I don't blame PCspecialists for this as out of their hands but how can a delivery company not know when a parcel is going to be redivered.

Just got to wait and see what happens tomorrow now and also worried as they already mucked up not dekiverying once when someone was in the house will they do it again!

Nick the peaed off and wanting his new baby

Yeah you'd think paying a company to do what they advertise would result in service. Delivery companies are ... well this is a no cussing forum so I'll end it there.
Luckily I have a concierge to take delivery and hold packages for me - I often get the opposite though when I specify "DELIVER TO CONCIERGE, DO NOT ATTEMPT TO DELIVER DIRECTLY. ANGRY INSOMNIAC ATTEMPTING TO SLEEP!". You can guarantee they'll ring the doorbell endlessly then - maybe you should try that haha.

Sigh now tuesday and still now sign of computer, after ringing delivery company and being put on hold for 25 mins and then cut off three times yesterday and also spoken to very helpfully people at PCspecialists yesterday who were trying to get yodel to confirm if they would delivery yesterday it never happened.

So have now just got thought to Yodel C/S to be advised no plan of them to try and redeliver today so had to book in to be delivered tomorrow, so after old man wasted all day friday & monday waiting for parcel, I know wasting two days holiday as had taken today to try and sort things out and now going to have to take tomorrow off as well.

Not happy, just want my computer

depending where you live, tell them to return it to pcspecialist, and go and collect it!

Jackh, sad to say i live in Bristol, so abit far to travel to get PC, however have had txt this morning from DHL and on web site tracking page it says my parcel is out for delivery. So just keeping fingers crossed and checking window every 5 seconds to see if van is outside house.

I just want to play with my new PC is that so wrong!!!

As proposed in another thread along the same lines...dust your deckchair off and sit as close to the road as is safe so they cant even try and argue they didnt see anyone in :D

Yeahh it's here, all i had to do was put a stinger across our road to stop the van :)

All joking aside arrived and remembered to sign it as unchecked.

Now the fun of copying all my stuff of my old computer and transfering to new computer (got a 1 TB external drive to make it eaiser). Then reformat old machine take over to sisters and copy stuff from her old dieing machine onto my old machine and THEN i will be able to sit back and play with my new toy :)

I think the one thing that comes across from this and other complaints is the inability to speak to HUMANS when calling these companies such as Yodel.Don't these places understand the need for proper contact between them and customers . I hate automated systems with avengeance ...GRRRR!!!
