You Tuber Set up using All in One

Hello all,

Looking for some advice. I have an 8yr old who wants to make You gaming videos.

Space is my main issue, so I am looking for an all in one desktop which has the following:

Good spec camera for video recording
Good spec graphics card. He will be playing simple games like Minecraft - nothing too demanding
Is capable of being used as a monitor with a PS4.

He will have a small desk, so I don't have space for a separate monitor for PS4 AND PC.

I've looked at iMac's and MacBook's but these both won't allow for PS usage.

I'm no expert on AIOs but I believe it's very, very uncommon for that to be possible. Much like it's generally not possible with laptops.

You might consider a mini-PC with an external monitor. There are a number of options from PCS.

There's this console-a-like PC with a specific chassis: https://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/computers/corsair-bulldog/ that seems more upmarket price wise.

There's also this configurator which has the Fractal Node 202, which in quite thin and can be stood vertically:

If vertical the feet will stick out a bit at the base but not by very much it seems.

You didn't indicate a budget so I just drew a spec up as an example:
For streaming gameplay and rendering video, i7 CPUs are often recommended as the additional threads help with the video encoding workload. But they are more expensive.

You can add a webcam if that's needed. I'd suggest a webcam capable of recording 1080p.

If your son will be recording gameplay footage from the playstation to edit on the PC you may need a game capture device like an Elgato HD60 or something.

As for recording gameplay on the PC, Nvidia GPUs have Shadowplay (called Share these days?) which allows the recording and streaming of gameplay for free.

If you indicate your budget it would be possible to fine-tune the spec a bit and add those bits in as required.
