Zen 3 Tracking thread (5900x/5950x)

I also received the same email for my 5950x but I've already had numerous conversations that mine has been assigned and that they are waiting on my 3090. So It's probably just an automated email. Always worth sending the customer service team an email.

EDIT: Having said this, it might be that my 5950x was assigned to someone else whose build was only waiting on that, which I'm honestly fine with if it means someone else gets their system before Christmas!

I am in France.
I ordered a build based on 5900x with no GPU the 18th of November and received it the 28th of November. ! That was great !

Unfortunately, it had issues. I made a RMA the 30th of November, still waiting for refund.

I reordered a build based on 5950x with no GPU the 8th of December. Still on Prebuild status.
Today, a guy from PCspecialist told me that probably I will get the build no before end of January...

Hope we will get our builds before i9-11900k and DDR5.....

So sad....

I will update status on this forum

I ordered mine (5950x) the 11th of November and changed my order to one without a GPU (3090) on the 7th of December. It went into build the 15th, and is now is testing - so I'm hoping for the best. :D

Good call to remove the GPU. Exciting to have a build date!

Mine was ordered on 4th Oct with a 3080, changed to a 5800x on 5th Nov, removed GPU on 11th Dec. Still waiting for a build date.

ordered 12th of Oct originally, 5900X + standard 3080, PCS response from today is that most likely it will be after new year

I decided to drop the 3080 in the hope of getting my PC quicker (and using my own 2080) and to wait for the 3080ti in Feb.

At least you got answers.
From my side, no answers to the 10 mails I sent since Monday.
When I can join them by phone, no more details....

it would be great if PCSpecialist could contact me directly so that I can reexplain my issues (RMA and new order).

Spoke to someone this morning, the 5900x delivery for yesterday didn't arrive and is delayed, so i think the chances of getting a build in time for Christmas must now be slim.

Had the same response this morning too. Hoping for some luck that it may come in later this month, though it seems to me that it's going to be January. Thanks AMD!

ha, it's as if they knew that beforehand when responding to me yesterday. When did you order originally?
there's still time this month, so maybe late december or early january for us?

I ordered 12th of October, so 11 days earlier, just got told that it's just the CPU and GPU that are still not in stock for me. Let's all hope for a big christmas batch of 5000 series ryzens and 3000 series nvidias coming in!

Has anyone went into building today that ordered a 5900x? I ordered on launch without a GPU and I'm still waiting. 31 working days with no contact. Shocking. I'm on the edge of cancelling

So, just a status update for anyone interested. 5950x / no GPU, original order was made 11-11-2020.

Been in test since Tuesday evening (the 15th of December) - received an email saying this would take 48 hours. With no update on my order today (Friday the 18th) and no proper response from the Danish chat support (they could not get an answer from the testing) - I called the main UK department and waited almost 2 hours on the phone.

They told me they didn't knew the status, but that it wouldn't be dispatched today, as all orders for today were already picked up.

I have full understanding for the situation regarding the 30-series cards - however this can't (at all) explain why all other orders are being delayed - I really miss proper information from this company - everyone on the chat and on the phone are nice and helpful, but that doesn't help anything when you can't get proper information.

It's a fair amount of money I've put into this, and all I want to know is when I can receive my order - quite simple in my point of view.

It greatly concerns me somewhat reading all of this information... I have ordered a system with a 5950x and a 3090 and I'm almost considering cancelling. Stockinformer is showing that 3090's and 5950x's are available to buy standalone so I may put the rig together myself.

I originally ordered with a 3090, but removed that from my order - I ordered a 3090 FE by chance - and if you really look for them, you can find them. Received the card yesterday the 17th (ordered it after my PC getting into build on the 15th) but now I'm waiting for the rest of the PC. I could understand they were busy if they had a bunch of 30-series do to, but this doesn't make any sense.

What they should do during this shortage period on components, is to refuse orders they are not able to serve in the next 8 weeks for example.
The problem here is that they Create so much frustration from customer side (us) and at the end, we could thing that they take money from orders and then do their best afterwards....
I work in an electronics components company and currently, all lead times of components (semi conductors, resistors, capacitors, chokes, etc ....) are increasing hugely.
This means that shortages are not only due to the fact that Nvidia and Amd can’t serve the market due the huge demand , but also due to components shortages to build the graphics cards, motherboards, etc !!!!!

believe me, if purchasers from PCS haven’t already anticipated this market fact, we will all play at Tetris on our Smartphone during all 2021 waiting for our builds....

please, also, this is a message for PCS customer service : we can understand that you have supply issues , but what is unacceptable is to not get informations about our builds status after several mails and phone calls.
The feeling we can Have ( And I am 100% sure this is not the reality) is that you don’t manage anything or that customers anxiety after having paid more than 3000€ for a build is not a reason to ask you to be more reactive.

Or how about just taking a deposit until they know they have the parts the build the damn thing? Make it high enough (20%?) to avoid fake orders.
