I'm really interested in getting my first PC. I want to be able to play loads of games and stream but the games require quite a powerful PC so please help. Ideally I want to be able to have the capacity to run games like Gray Zone Warfare etc at a great quality, but also be able to play COD and FIFA NBA2K etc and stream comfortably. i'll post the build i've started with, but i've literally no idea what's good and what isn't. Any help and suggestions is greatly appreciated. My budget is 2.5k hard cap, but preferably nearer to 1-1.5k.

I'd look at a 1440p IPS gaming monitor. The outstanding value option is the AOC Q27G4X, which is £220. It would then match a build like this, which would bring the overall cost to precisely £2k, very close to your build above.

Thank you so much. In your opinion, do you think what i've built here will do well to run a game with such heavy requirements as Gray Zone Warfare?

Well, the the build exceeds what is required for the official 'recommended' specs:

RECOMMENDED SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
  • OS: Windows® 10 64 Bit (latest update) / Windows® 11 64 Bit (latest update)
  • Storage: SSD with 40 GB available space
  • Network: Broadband Internet connection
  • CPU: Intel® Core™ i7-9700K / AMD Ryzen™ 5 3600X Memory: 32 GB RAM
  • RAM: 32 GB
  • GPU: NVIDIA® GeForce® RTX 3070 Ti / AMD Radeon™ RX 6800 DirectX: Version 12
But, as with most system requirements, they don't specify what resolution/quality these are for. So we don't know if 'recommended' is intended for 60FPS @ 1080p or 144FPS at 4k.

However, from the reviews I've seen, it's another case of a really un-optimised game being released in early-access with hopes that they'll optimise it as & when they get more cash from punters buying it.

Keeping the 'early-access' status in mind, this YouTuber, playing at 1440p with an 7800XT using Epic settings, they're seeing 60+FPS (and peaks of over 80fps).

Whether it's wise to play a fast-paced MMORPG at Epic settings is debatable though, so if you play at the more normal High settings with FSR or FG on, then you're going to see higher FPS than that.

Thank you, this has been really helpful!
