Notice for owners of the 16" and 17" Recoil

Hi Heaven,

Thank you for the information. I have uploaded the OEM service tool for you here:

OEM Tool

Installation instructions:

  1. Uninstall the control centre and reboot the system.
  2. Extract the OEM tool to somewhere on your system.
  3. Open up the command prompt as administrator.
  4. Navigate to the folder with the tool using the command prompt and run the tool from within the prompt (rather than double clicking).
  5. After the tool has run, reboot the system again.
  6. Install the control centre and reboot the system one last time.
With any luck, this should resolve your issues.

Chris

Hi Heaven,

I'm sorry to hear that. I would then recommend you get it booked in for an RMA so we can have a look at this in-house. If you have any trouble filling out the RMA forms, please get in contact with our customer support team and they'll be able to help you out with it.

Chris.

For anyone reading this later than when it was posted, with any BIOS flash, you need to get PCS approval first.

They had validated the XMG bios was compatible at the time until they implemented their own fix, that doesn’t mean it is now, and if you flash a BIOS (even a PCS one) without PCS approval and something goes wrong, you’re not covered and it could be an extremely expensive mistake!
