And quite frankly, the folks at work are taking the p1ss out of me because of it :D

First and foremost, before the spec I'd like to thank Darrin for his initial help, and appologise for all the hassle I've been giving Jack on the Live Chat :D - Guys, you are great and if I can make it down i42 for the day, I'll get you both a drink.

Now that it's been built, and being tested, I would like to thank Carl Auckland. Carl, we have not spoken, but please take care of my baby! If there's a scratch on it...then...well, suffice to say you may not be drinking the beer but wearing it if you do attend i42 :D

Now, just to wind everyone up, I've included a little update in my Sig to show the timeline and just how damn great PCS are.

Here's the obligatory Spec and the pics will follow all being well next week :D

I did. Along with lots of being nice, helping people and generally being a great guy :D

Plus it's a Lap Top. How long could it possibly take:whistling:

By going fast track you jump all the queues. So if you absolutely need it now, sure its worth it. Personally i would save the cash and wait.

Fast track orders push everyone back in the queue. They are the guy you want to punch at the post office.

I think the above applies.
Good that it was turned round so quick though. Hopefully I may see mine next week.

LMFAO - I was just thinking that when 2 emails popped into my account today. 1 saying the build was complete, the other saying that is was now being tested. Took Carl 1 minute to send them..lol

Welp, It's official. I'm absolutely fkin GOB-SMACKED!

In less than 48 hrs, PCS have taken the order, built, tested and have just mailed me that she is ready for Dispatch. As I'm officially broke now, I can't afford the £19 for a Saturday delivery :( so I'll receive her on Tuesday (No one puts Baby in the warehouse!!!) - certainly not DHL :D

So Paul, Carl, Darrin & Jack - I doff my cap and will recommend you chaps without fail :)

Once I've checked it and it's all ok of course..lol

Awesome. 47 hrs is shocking. I'm kinda gutted I didn't go for fast track.
Gonna be a long weekend for you.

hey pez, I ordered the Vortex II as well and it's in building now :) It would be nice if you did a quick 'first impressions' sort of summary/review when you get your laptop!

Will do lads :) I'll take a few pics so you can see the unpacking in the office. The excitement of installing Win7. And the first official running of MineSweeper :D

Won't Win7 come as pre-installed due to the testing stage performed by PCSpecialist? (unless you've specified for them not too)

I believe it does due to the testing stage.

However, I'm going to wipe it and install win7 ultimate 64bit and Ubuntu 10.10 :)
