The case is definitely not suitable for the build.

What’s it for? What make and model monitor are you pairing it with?

What’s your max budget?

There are some other things that leap out also

It’s for a high level music studio and music production and competitive games.

Budget £2800 inc vat

Paired with an Alienware 360hz 1440p monitor

What’s wrong with the case? I paid for fast track build so can’t amend it now so just advise on how to fix after delivery.

Thanks.

The case isn’t at all suitable for the components, you’re likely to get thermal issues as a result, certainly on that gpu. And yes it will be very noisy.

You can’t “fix” it, you have to have suitable components to match the build. The only way you can “fix” it is to replace the case.

You’ve also selected additional thermal paste which will reduce performance from the included thermal paste which is higher quality.

Was there any requirement for windows pro?

Standard warranty also is not a great idea

Are you saying it’s already been built? The idea is to get advice before ordering

Please explain why this more expensive thermal paste is worse than the default standard?

I require windows pro as I do a lot of remote work on tablets etc with clients.

I’ve now changed the case to a cooler master HAF500 and I’ve upgraded the cooler to the icue h150i link and paid an additional £135. If that isn’t good enough then I’m screwed.

I just hope it doesn’t delay my build as I have a deadline for an album for a client and it’s already been pushed back due to my old pc dying.

Thanks for the advice.

Also please explain to me exactly what’s wrong with the case and why the thermals aren’t doing great. It seems like your saying a lot of contradicting stuff
More expensive doesn't always mean better. The paste that's pre-applied to the AIO coolers is really good.

Not sure what spyder said that was contradicting but his suggestion (as I read it) was to change your case to something a bit more suitable. Generally a larger case is usually more appropriate for higher end hardware simply due to having more space in it for improved airflow.

Yeah sorry I edited my post after re reading it as I understood it better.

I’ve now gone for a larger case (Coolermaster HAF500 and also a better liquid cooler (Icue h150 link)

I should have checked here before I purchased

I hope this will work better?

If you can still change things post the configuration link, you will then hopefully get advice before close of play today. I’m no expert so will leave that to others, but I would up the warranty to silver as it’s only £5.

No one suggested you needed a different cooler, what was your reason for that?

I would definitely switch the RAM out. The performance hit for 4x vs 2x is drastic. Better to have a couple of fast drives to hold instruments & other resources. Putting everything on the primary drive is best avoided and can/will hamper performance. The slow drive isn't going to be much use for any productivity but is fine for storing finished projects or generic storage. I wouldn't put any games on either of the drives selected.
