Hi,
My Vortex II (With AMD 6990m) is about 8 months old and yesterday the screen randomly went blank while my wife was using it. After a reboot it got into windows for a short while but then went blank again. After that it would not even post.
It gets a bit further using an external monitor, it manages to get to the windows loading screen but then goes blank again. Safe mode with an external monitor let me get in once, I haven't tried again yet but will do just to backup some files.
If it was just failing in windows I would suspect a driver issue but as it is failing to post it seems like it must be worse than that.
The laptop still seems to be on when the screen goes, although obviously I cannot tell what state it is in.
Any ideas before I RMA it as I'd rather get it fixed without having to send it back?
