Counterstrike GO would definitely be something I would give a go
Assuming you want a first person shooter CS:GO or Battlefield 4 are about as good as it gets at the moment. Both completely different shooters though
If you want to get really competitive CSGO would definitely be what you want to play, there are some serious cash prizes to be won on that game these days and almost every night there is a major game streamed on Twitch with some kind of cash prize.

Yeah definitely going to have to give counterstrike a try this weekend, I've heard bad things about elder scrolls online which is a disappointment

Yeah i didn't necessarily want a Shooter, just something with a good community.
Although i have bought Counterstrike.
I may give League of legends a go, i know someone who spends their life on that haha
League of Legend sis not pay to win either. Sure you could get XP boosts or IP boosts but that does not really give you any advantage over someone not paying a penny. The only other thing money will buy in LoL is skins and fancy stuff all cosmetic.
All depends what yer cup of tea is.

MOBAs have been covered above - no opinion here, I suck at them therefore my opinion is skewed =)
Massively Multiplayer games can offer endless hours of fun (essentially with endless shelf life) - few examples, WoW , Archeage , GuildWars 2, Aion etc.
Even Fifa 15 has good multiplayer functions now.

Yeah can't wait for FIFA although i've not heard anything new regarding the multiplayer functions.
I'd love it if they remastered Medal of honour allied assault, spent many years on that game, heard from somebody that they have now stopped supporting the online part of the game
If they have stopped supporting it there will probably be a workaround to play on some third party servers. Most older games run on 3rd party servers anyway. CoD4 and CoD5 both run solely on 3rd party servers so can essentially run forever providing they just keep the servers up that help find a server, not much in terms of cost anyway.

lol you've created a monster ;(, firstly counter strike is one of the best multiplayer games ever created so good shout, also try killing floor, serious sam 3, dead island (if you have people to play with), dead rising 2 is getting a steamworks re release early 2015 (anyone with the game now will get a free upgrade) the payday games are pretty good. Anything by "The Behemoth", sniper elite zombie games,

i'd have to say Dayz is one of the most engrossing and addictive multiplayer games i've ever played.
If you have Arma II combined Operations you can play the Dayz MOD (for free). Don't buy Dayz Standalone though, its a bit barebones. - even though it's been released for sometime now.

been playing archeage the past few days and that looks amazing, its got very good gameplay style aswell. similar to a mix of wow and swtor. it is an MMORPG and it opens on tuesday 16th september. not the smoothest early access though, huge queues to gain access to servers and a little laggy.

I've been playing that on and off since the early stages of beta, and I just can't get into it, It's mostly the art style, I absolutely hate it.
You will be glad your not playing it. My guild decided to join the most full server. No1 likes an empty server in an mmo. But now it's got 3-8hour long queues lmao. I haven't played it since early access ended as I get 2-4 hours max of gaming when im home from work

Yeah I've been on and off it since release, mainly because the actual game itself is great, it's just the art style I don't like along with the UI (far too many pastel on pastel; colours, bad for my bad eyes) and some graphics issues (for some reason every time I load the game the cursor goes out of sync and you have to click a centimetre below something for it to work, it's a resolution issue in 1080p all I have to do is switch resolution to any other one then back again and it fixes it, but it's annoying as hell).
I hit a queue on Saturday night of over 4800, left it running while I watched a film and was still over 4000 so I decided to leave it on over night and see what happens, I woke up the next morning and it was still queuing at 164 lol
They seriously needed to have more servers to start with, they're adding them now but that's not going to help, most of the people causing these queues won't move to a less populated server because they're head starters with guild who have already claimed land, and considering how hard it is to claim land they're not just going to drop it and move server, so they will still eventually have a ton of over populated servers and the new ones will just be empty half the time.
