Hi
I have a new Destian laptop. It has a USB-C port that says it provides DisplayPort 1.4 over USB 3.2 Gen 2. I'm trying to connect to an LG Ultrafine 4K monitor. This was bought for a Macbook originally, but I have seen online that you can connect them to Windows from DisplayPort with the right adapter. So I assumed this would work with DisplayPort over USB-C. I'm using the USB-C / thunderbolt cable that came with the monitor.
If I go into Settings / Displays it says a second monitor is connected, but the LG screen remains blank - whether I choose duplicate, extend, or Show only on 2.
In Advanced display settings it says:
Display 2: LG Ultrafine
Display 2: connected to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Laptop GPU
Display 2 isn't active
So it's recognising the monitor, and identifying it, but not displaying. Grateful for any pointers if anyone out there knows about this sort of thing!
thanks
Robin
