    Yes i did thanks, I do have many channels and some hefty files. I also run a product called SAS but that does not seem to use as much of the RAM. I did struggle with the previous laptop which was 16 gig. But saying that it was a Toshiba and nearly 6 years old. I am really please with this...

    As i use Teams, for chats, calls, file storage etc, 4-5 gig at a peak. It is a known issue, skype was better, but did not have the sharepoint functionality. So what I have is good for me, and a bit of contingency..... The RAM was cheap, and I am once built leave alone and do not upgrade...

    Agreed, all down to the software you are running. But suggest 8gig for the OS if 64bit then the rest for your apps. Clearly if you have 32 bit OS then the memory is a bit irrelevant. MS teams is RAM hungry.

    Better to lower the CPU and double the memory. Most software is not CPU hungry. Except Microsoft teams, which is a bit rubbish for memory and CPU.
