Yes there was - on my build the screw was also holding down a small metal guard-plate that covered the two Gold/Silver wires so I had to remove the screw. Wire was visibly loose even prior to me removing the screw Also the photo isnt great but the wire with the gold connector is also a bit frayed

Yep seems to be the culprit here. It looked loose before I took off the guard, then I removed the guard covering the attachment points and the cable was not properly attached. I have gently tried to put it back into its slot but it does not seem to want to stay connected. I will keep trying but...
