Who knows, the only person that does is the engineer that carried out the inspection.
i know the usb header socket on the motherboard was damaged because we noticed it when cable etc were moved to disconnect cards and drives during fault finding. It is impossible for me to know if the pins...
If it does not fit then what else could it be. We have the old motherboard and there are bent pins. What/who caused them is impossible to know for sure.
It now works, which is our desired outcome. Hopefully, no-one else has a similar issue...its been a time vampire.

Hi All,
I am back again. The PC is fixed so here is what happened in case it helps someone else.

Thanks for the response ubuysa.
Don't worry. Fortect was only used to scan in case we had missed anything, I dont let it apply fixes. After scanning it was uninstalled. There were a couple of minor fixes which we manually applied so they can be undone. It made no difference.
We get the...
Hi Tony,

I have booted from USB when cold boot has failed then it becomes a warm boot and boots oaky. Not tried with a cold boot beacuse you need to let it go cold and do not know if the cold boot will work or not. Cold boots now fail 4/5 times sometimes fine for a...
