Since MS forced that anniversary update down my throat overnight among other disasters the Soundblaster X-Fi MB3 software that came with my Vortex IV does not work any longer - 'There is no supported audio device available' pop-up at start-up! Does anyone have any suggestions?

Just setting up my brandnew box with win8.1 - but mic will not work properly: very faint and distorted recording (in skype and soundrecorder). Any ideas?
