    PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Water inside PC

Sorry to interject but I found this thread very interesting - I've been wondering a lot about humidity lately too. I live in a 50s built house with brick walls that also get drippy (although by the sounds of it not as bad as OP) and I did start to worry for my electronics. I have a little...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST pc picked up on 21st for rma, should i call for update ?

I had an RMA in January and it took something like 15 days so you're probably not far off having your computer back. I got a status update the day before they dispatched it which had details on the fix and the ability to reply directly to the technician :) Before that mine just said "received"...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Ground buzz/hum on audio production PC

Interesting to hear of a similar issue although I think they may be of a slightly different nature. Is yours more to do with monitoring? I don't get the mouse interference (I have heard of this happening on audio PCs before - tbh it's probably more easily resolvable than mine) @Scott No...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST H115 Elite Capellix loud pump

I thought you were just describing the standard Capellix bubbly hum (which can be a little annoying if silence focused) but your video sounds a lot worse than the original example you first posted. Definitely something majorly wrong there.

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Ground buzz/hum on audio production PC

Pickups were my first thought too but the hum is totally gone when using a different computer which makes me think it's unrelated. I was using a Strat in the clip posted above.

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Ground buzz/hum on audio production PC

Not sure that would be connected unless somehow inside the mobo it's managing to bleed across? This is the kind of noise I'm getting: https://voca.ro/1lj8xyg8xr6c Mains hum sort of thing. And it's pretty specific because I only observe it when I connect up electric musical instruments with...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Ground buzz/hum on audio production PC

Cheers Spyder, will do! I've been in touch with PCS already and they've been good with the troubleshooting ideas. They want me to try taking the PC down to the kitchen (hope my back doesn't give out lugging the Fractal down the stairs haha) just to confirm it's not the electrics in my house. But...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Ground buzz/hum on audio production PC

Cheers for the replies. Touching the case or the metal part of my desk gives me static discharge type shocks if I'm also holding my guitar. PCSpecialist advised me to look for any loose cables but everything looked really neat and tidy in the back. Nothing protruding. I'm kinda baffled by...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Ground buzz/hum on audio production PC

Hi folks. Aiming this more at the audio crowd I suppose: I bought a PC from PCS in the summer for the purpose of audio production. Performance is brilliant but I've been having major issues with loud ground hum when recording instruments into my interface. At first I thought the issue was with...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST H115 Elite Capellix loud pump

I think reviews are referring to the fans being quiet. For a lot of people their other system sounds probably mask the noise of the pump. Keep us updated though as I'd definitely be intrigued if a future RMA has a positive effect. All the Capellix boys coming out the woodwork for this one eh...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST H115 Elite Capellix loud pump

Oh yeah, just to be clear on my original thread from August I had a few other unrelated setup issues so our situations aren't exactly identical. But I definitely have the same noise demonstrated in the video you posted in your opening post which is why I chimed in. :) I did return it to PCS...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST H115 Elite Capellix loud pump

I doubt there's anything wrong with it. I've got the same cooler and have had the same noise unchanging since my PC was built in August (if you click my posts I made a similar thread back in August about it). It's very good at cooling but definitely a bit of a noisy beast. There's a massive...

    PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST New build problems

Bit of late night (early morning?) tinkering because I can't sleep lol. Pleased to say I've sorted the issue with the rear fan. Think I understand the Nexus setup now. Had to play around in BIOS - the auto calibrate thing proved to me the rear fan can be regulated because I could hear it...

    PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST New build problems

An update on this and a technical question! Ended up returning the whole PC for the RMA due to the cooler problem which PCS agreed sounded faulty, also because I was still umming and ahing about possibly getting a refund on it if they were unable to fix the problem so thought it best to send...

    PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST New build problems

It's the actual fan of the GPU as far as I can tell as it goes away once I physically stop it. Thanks for all the help Spyder and co!

    PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST New build problems

Close to narrowing down this noise problem. The ticking is obviously the pump (goes away when tilted), the "hum" turns out to actually be the GPU and not the AIO at all.

    PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST New build problems

You're right about tilting the tower - if I tilt it on its side the pump noise completely disappears. If I could have the tilted pump sound all the time (almost none) and the elimination of the GPU noise I'd be totally happy, haha.

    PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST New build problems

Hi Spyder - I've tried every option in iCue and the quiet options are actually the loudest. Performance/extreme gets rid of the air bubbling but has the loudest hum; quiet reduces the hum somewhat but makes constant bubbling/ticking.

    PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST New build problems

In my original thread where I got build advice I posted two videos from my own system which may give a better idea of it: https://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/forums/threads/quiet-pc-needed-for-audio-production.81834/page-2 (near the bottom of the page, posted on Thursday) I know the issue of volume...

    PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST New build problems

Spyder was correct about the incorrect wiring it seems (for the rear fan), although the mechanical/humming sound is from the pump. I'm just a bit apprehensive that the replacement will be exactly the same. Seem to be a number of reports about it and the high speed of the pump that supposedly...
