Hi martin, could be a good shout. had 4 updates just prior to the Kernal Pnp errors (hundreds of them) on 18th The WHEA errors started around a day later (hundreds of these now). Not sure how helpful but updates were KB4023057, KB4601319, KB403057 and KB4580325.

Hi I have a very similar build to yours but with 2 x 1TB drives, as Demon28 says go for the 2 x 8 memory option and the upgraded thermal paste. I'd also go for the silver warranty (if you haven't, it's only £5 more). I've found the gaming to be fine (for my fairly modest needs).

Bump.. Reading this over I realise that the nvidia optimus comment is a bit irrelevant. What I meant to ask was why is there a turbo control (for the fans) when my 6+ year old pc will automatically ramp up the fans when required without user intervention so presumably my latest one will do that...
