My desktop apps have stopped working, as in double clicking on them doesn't run the program. If I reboot the computer two or three times they will start working. I am using Windows 10. Has anyone else had this problem or have an idea what might cause this? Thanks in advance.
Some of the games that I have installed with Steam appear as white, blank shortcut icons instead of the normal shortcut. They still work ok but just appear as white icons. I have googled the problem and it appears that the desktop icon cache is the problem as it may have become corrupted...
Just recently some programs are showing in my taskbar but won't open when I click on them. Its not all programs but certainly Steam and File Explorer are affected. I've not changed anything and I am using Windows 10, any ideas on how to solve this please? Thanks.
I booted up my computer as normal tonight and it was working ok. I had to leave it for an hour and it presumably went into sleep mode which is what it is set to do. However when I came back to it, it had a black screen with a white underscore line flashing (as though you would type a command...

Whenever I go to my local PC World (which is admittedly not often) I am always impressed by the Apple Mac monitor, the display looks amazing. I did a little Google searching and it seems that the monitor is one area where Apple spend money, use premium hardware, use a glass fronted screen, etc...
