Trying to get an old game running on Windows 7?

I am trying to run an old game that worked previously on Windows 7 (32 bit) but when I try to run it on Windows 7 (64 bit) I get an error message saying the program is incompatible with the version of Windows I am using. I have tried running in different compatability modes without success. Is it possible to partition the drive and have 32 bit Windows on one partition and 64 bit Windows on the other partition?

Yes, you can partition the main disk and run 2 separate instances. If it's that old, it's likely it won't work on 64bit.

Edit: you can also check to see if the game's on steam, then if it is you can import your key and it will have most likely have been updated to run on 64bit. Have done it on a few older games.

You can dual boot W7 32 and 64 bit. There are several guides of how to dual boot on the net, including specifically W7 32 and 64.

Thanks for the replies, I will need a guide I think, as I've not done anything like this before.
