Thank you for the input all. yeah i only went with the 5900x because of what was said on here at the time, been great cpu anyway . Regarding the cpu cooler . I am surprised that not worth an upgrade , but it saves me money, so thank you. looks like just the gpu then . Thank you
Hi all, So am going to be upgrading a couple fo parts soon with pcs , upgrading the 3080 to a 5070ti but was thinking of upgrading my cpu cooler as well,. Got the H115i elite capellix rgb at moment cooling my 5900x , but would like the temps to drop a little, and just think it would be a good...
yes i am only really playing day z and older released mmo games , so all good for them titles . I will be eventually upgrading to a newer card for better 4k experience and hopefully latest drivers will work as intended . but that's a little while off , the prices are scary :)
So bit the bullet, did the upgrade , all seems good , apart from the cpu temp fluctuating , kind of spiking up and down even on desktop . In win 10 i was sitting around 40c roughly , but as i look at my icue now its spiking from anything from 50 -65c, up and down fans ramp then fans off, during...
Thank you for the reply, i did not even consider a psu would be needed as well, i must say i was looking at the 4080 super as a potential card , just surprised about the psu issue as well. Thank you for that. i will take a look at the 7900xtx as well as that would not need a psu upgrade i...

Hi all just want some spec help please. I am just using it for gaming and maybe some streaming on twitch in the future . I would like to play at 4k res, and get 80fps on games at a good detail level . My budget is £3000 . I would like to keep it all corsair as i have got the hang of icue at last...
that's a great read, thank you. as the stuttering has stopped I will leave it for now, but will go ahead if the issues start. but been all good since fast boot disable Thank you for your time I very much appreciate it. Thank you
yes i think you are right it was before the fast boot was disabled, so yer that would have caused that issue, I also think a bios update is needed tbh, but i cant really go against what they say really. Although i am so tempted to do the update as i really think it may be needed, not sure where...
so i called pc today, they ran through some checks and things, all seems ok and me turning off fast start boot was a good thing they said ,i am too inform them if I get any other issues , I asked about the bios and they said leave it as it was, so i wont be updating that . I also mentioned i...

yes i will call pcs first tomorrow, and let them decide what version, but yes was so easy with a usb stick, was very surprised . Thanks will post update tomorrow :)
yes i do like the 140mm fans , although i did almost go for h150 . I did find that the corsair fan curves that come as standard are not very good, but you can really dial it in and keep a nice quiet system with good cpu temps . I have never ever attempted a bios flash/update . scary stuff for me...
to be honest i dont even hear it now. i did when first purchased but it has settled a lot over time . and with headphones on and a nice fan curve i set, its lovely quiet:)
