Hello,

What you going to be using it for? Is it simply gaming or you doing photoshop and rendering etc?

If it is gaming what game you playing for example

Going to be used for gaming, COD BO3, DOTA 2, Mortal Kombat X, GTA V. Also used for computing, eg use of MATLAB along with other coding software.

@keynes I know its only £5 but why is silver worth it?

I've put an alternative spec up above for your consideration, gets you a better GPU.

As Keynes says Silver Warranty, although we hope you don't have to use it, will save you money if you ever need to. My first laptop needed to go back for a repair and as i didn't have the warranty it was about £35 to get it there and back. I've got it on my new desktop just incase.

Assuming your in the UK that is

thanks, but I was under the impression that the 980 was quite cost inefficient and if you're going for above the 970 you may as well get the 980 TI. Is that correct?

I would say that is correct.
Some would say the 980ti is overkill for 1080p, but I'm not sure it is, and it will hit the sweet spot at 1440p.
A 970 will do you well if you are sticking to 1080p.

Hi Sassen

I have just ordered the Minerva from the review section and it is very similar to your suggested spec. The other replies make suggestions on slight modifications but if you want to spend £1000 and are happy to have a GTX 970, the Minerva might be slightly better value for money.
It has an overclocked CPU, larger power supply (useful for the future), larger HDD and a better (?) motherboard. It has a different case but, cooling aside, this is more personal choice.
The only negative over your build is the Minerva does not come with a disc drive.

i think I am going to turn into That Guy who trawls the forums and wont shut up about the review section.
