£850 Max Budget - Little Help

About a year ago I bought a gaming rig from PCS and now I'm after a laptop. I have £850 as a maximum budget. I don't know a great deal about laptops so I was hoping to get a little help on the build. The only real stipulation is that I would like a Bluray drive, at least 500GB HDD and prefer matt black over gloss.

The laptop will be used for music editing and recording, multimedia, some gaming, internet browsing etc. The last time I actually owned a laptop was probably 6+ years ago and it was so slow to boot up I hated it.

Thanks, Pete

This laptop should be fine for your needs but gaming is will be at med settings depending on the games played. I'm not sure which blu ray drive you need? just a blu ray drive or a blu ray writer? I popped in the blu ray drive standard if you're not writing to blu ray discs which quite an expensive thing to do.

Thanks for the reply Teaz. I always prefer to push my budget and get something better than drop it for something inferior. I'll play around with the second build you gave me and go from there.

Cheers.
