€1500 budget desktop for gaming suggestion

Hi,

My friend has asked me to suggest some specifications for a gaming PC that would mainly be playing strategy games like Total War Warhammer. He is in the Netherlands and after looking for local suppliers I saw that PC Specialist is actually better than many of the local ones so I've linked him this website and will probably be importing from here as I've had good experiences with using PC Specialist myself.

I have a general idea of the parts he should have but because it's for a friend I'd appreciate a more experienced perspective if someone here could suggest a PC spec. Apologies if this is not the right format for a request.

Also he games on a 1080p monitor.

Hey mate yeah we can help out, can you let me know what monitor he's planning to use so we know which GPU to aim for? £1500 is a nice healthy budget and kind of sweet spot at the minute. We can give him the best bang for his buck if we know what monitor or resolution he's planning to use.

This would be the minimum I would recommend without making very compromising decisions, I could build for cheaper but it would cost longevity of the build
