Hi, I am looking to upgrade my pc but need some recommendations on what would be ideal to get.
I use a 1080p 240hz monitor
Primarily I'll use it for competitive gaming and also live streaming and more casual gaming
Budget- I have an RTX 3060 and was wondering whether or not I should build around it or build from scratch, budget including GPU £1500, if I kept the 3060 it would make it less.

What games are you playing competitively? Is it professional level? I think if you want to compete at a high level you will need a significantly more powerful GPU, and thus a far higher budget.

If by competitive gaming you simply mean playing competitive games online then that's different, but I think the 240hz monitor is a waste of cash in that regard.

The 3060 is a decent 1080p GPU. What would be the budget if you kept the 3060? I think you are at real cross purposes in honesty, the budget doesn't suggest a properly competitive system is wanted.

I mainly play rocket league competitively, since it's a less demanding game that's why I thought keeping the 3060 could be an idea, but with my current build I can't play the game without frame drops and tearing. If I were to keep the 3060 my budget would be around £1200-1300, also it is at a semi professional level currently. If I scratched the 3060 I could go 17-1800 max atm

This is the ultimate gaming rig for competitive gaming (Minus the GPU). You're not going to get much difference for the extra £500 so I would probably just save the money and stick with the 3060 for now.

If you're getting frame drops and tearing with your current build, it's possible that it's the 3060 limiting things.

The GPU you’ll likely need to upgrade as soon as you’ve got the cash for a decent tier card, and then you’ll need to upgrade it very 3 or 4 years

The PC itself will last 10 years or so quite happily
