@JimDav you've posted this in check this spec... but you've received it, assume you're not wanting further comments advice?

Got any photos? :)

Yes. Just the welcome book.
We're up & running.
Bought without operating system as I'd recently bought Windows 10. All authorised now.
Very happy.

I saw on the quick start that I will invalidate the warranty if I take the back off. I have a spare 1TB SSD that I was going to add. Does this mean I'm not allowed?

Does it say that? That's news to me, normally you are allowed to open up the case and what not. Where is the quickstart guide? Within the welcome manual??

It's a separate piece of paper in many languages in the bag with the welcome guide.
It's a laptop.
I also got: A syringe with what I guess is thermal paste, 2 screws, and a small block of something that reminds me of bluetack.
What is the small block for?
It'll be obvious when you tell me. :)

You're allowed to remove the cover and make changes in the build so long as you don't damage anything in the meantime:

Article 7.8 from their Warranty terms states:

Unlike with most computer companies, we allow you to open your case and install your own components without voiding your warranty on the following conditions:

  • "If the actions of the person installing the components cause damage to the computer, your warranty will be void;
  • If you install components that are not purchased from us and they cause problems with your computer, your warranty will be void;
  • If you install components that are not purchased from us we will in no way support you in installing them or with any problems you have relating to the components you have installed.
  • We will support you in installing components purchased from us providing you have purchased them through the upgrade service available on your online account."
