15.6" Proteus VIII - External G-sync?

Hi PCspecialist,

Can anyone tell me if the 15.6" Proteus VIII has a direct DP port from the GPU to allow for external G-sync compatibilty?
Also I am looking for a budget gaming laptop at around the £1200 mark. Are there any models that stand out with reviews at the minute. Have considered the AMD models with RTX2060 but the Proteus VIII would offer a decent price with the RTX2070 Super.

Thanks for any responses.

The Laptop has no G-Sync. So I was wondering if ‘G-Sync’ would work If the laptop is connected to an external monitor which has got it?

Ah...my apologies...my brain seems to have skipped over the G-Sync part

Unless it is majorly different, then the 2070S in the laptop should support G-Sync; the Mini-Dp connection should also support G-Sync (an HDMI connection will not support it). So, I don't see why it wouldn't support G-Sync...but I am not a laptop person and my knowledge is lacking in areas.

@SpyderTracks Sorry to bother you but could you please eaither confirm what I have said or correct me if I'm wrong please? Thank you kindly :)
Yep, that’s all spot on :)

I think to get GSync on a display you may have to turn off gpu switching in the nvidia control panel so set it to always use the rtx card. Then it should work fine.
