I'm an experienced desktop builder with a healthy degree of OCD where it comes to selecting the right parts. I never compromise on components.
I like the idea of building up a custom laptop and pcspecialist really go a long way with available configurations, but I'm looking for a little bit more.
What I would like to do is order a Vortex III with no HD and no RAM, on the basis that I have my own drives and RAM to add. Available options are good, but I prefer Marvell based SSD's and I have a preference for Corsair RAM. Not saying Samsung is bad, but I like the warranty support from Corsair (and the fact that I've never had to use it!).
I could go ahead and order with the mininum spec HD and RAM, but I feel that is wasteful.
The build I have configured with 250GB HD and 2GB RAM comes to £1672, which is a fantastic price considering it includes the top level of warranty.
Would it be possible to order without RAM and HD? Thanks.
