17.3" Defiance - Need a new laptop charger.

How do I determine which charger is the right one to buy? The one I got with the laptop has a slit ion the cable so wires are poking out.

If it were me, I'd phone PCS and ask them to supply a new one or to point you in the right direction.

Failing that, there may be a part number or similar on the charger you can use. Or you can search for your chassis number on either Tongfing or Clevo's website to see if they offer spares...

Ben - log into your PCS account and go to the section under My Order > Spare Parts.

Select your laptop order and a charger should hopefully be listed under that.

if it is not then you have to do what @steaky360 suggests.

I guess this means you found out why you were having that charging issue back in October LOL

Sadly, the cable split is a recent issue. My cat bit the cable.

I was unable to resolve the battery issue and it is still having problems.

Should have RMAd it at that time whilst it was still 10 months old and in warranty for that in case it wasnt the battery but a connector or something.

I did send it off. They didn't fix the issue and wanted me to send the laptop back again when I needed the laptop for work. The service was not good.
