Hi there, just pre ordered the new 17.3" DEFIANCE V and noticed while configuring it that the 200w and 230w ac adaptor was the same price. Just wondering why you would pick the smaller ac adaptor over the bigger one, is it smaller/lighter? And if you pick the smaller one will the laptop had power throttling issues compared to the larger one?

Also on the subject of the keyboard does it have the option to have a solid colour/different effects or just turn it off? And is it controller via software or hotkeys on the keyboard?

The smaller one is for a GTX 1060. The larger one is for a GTX 1070. That's all. :)

No idea on the keyboard - I expect you'd need the Clevo Control Centre or equivalent software installed to control it and/or use any hotkey functions for it

17.3" DEFIANCE V RGB Keyboard questions

Just wondering what sort of customisation you can do with the Defiance v keyboard, in all the pictures it just shows the 3 zone effect but can you also change the keyboard so it's all just a static color?

Have merged topics as they are the same issue.

The Defiance V is so new that not many/ any forum users will have theirs yet.

Your best bet might be to phone PCS to ask them directly. The forums aren't an official support channel and are mostly for the customer community, so phoning might get you your answers quicker. Do let us know what they say :)
