Hello! I want to upgrade my notebook ram. I have left a ram from the previous clevo notebook (hx424s14ib / 16 - two pieces. https://www.kingston.com/datasheets/HX424S14IB_16.pdf). The notebook turned on but the screen did not turn on. I tried with 1 and with two ram, unplugged the bios battery, nothing helped. I can't figure out where the problem is. Help please.

What's the part number of the RAM that came with it? Should be written on the RAM SODIMM's.

And just to confirm, when you say you removed the BIOS Battery, that was actually the coin battery from the motherboard rather than the laptop battery?

On the face of it I can't see any reason that it wouldn't work, the sticks you're trying to fit are 1.2V which should be fine.

Often, you would have to reset the CMOS after swapping the RAM for it to boot successfully.

The only other thing I can think, is can you boot into the BIOS with the new RAM installed?

It came with 2 sticks of corsair cm4x8gf2666c18s2 ,
Yes, it was cmos battery, not laptop.
I could not enter BIOS with new ram, tried several times (F2). Display even did not turn on (like when it is turned on and black).
When I put back corsair ram, it detect new ram and starts istalling procedure.

At least one of kingston ram sticks is working mixed with corsair stick. After that I tried leave that kingston stick alone - notebook did not start.
