I heard something like Nvidia is faster and quieter but lets have a debate :3

as far as i know, the 560 will use less power and also create less heat, but i think the 6870 has the edge

much better, definitely worth the price, will last much longer and is much more reliable, it also has a 7yr warranty

haha you wont regret it, the 50w extra will allow you to add some stuff later also i think 560Ti can be SLId on a 750w PSU just fine if you want to add a second card, i think its 850w for 6870s though

Cool when i make some more money for sure xD
So this 650 corsair should suit my 1GB ATI RADEON™ HD 6870 and cooler.
I think the reason the Nvidia is same price is because it is 3D ready but who needs that?

well then, the 560Ti is better...

lol, silly AMD as usual, the 5870 outperforms the 6870

scrap that was looking at the Ti version

but the 560 is so little behind, id personally go with it, less heat and less power output, worth it in the long run

What's the difference between the Base, Mid and Ti versions, and why don't they just call them different names?...Is it designed to confuse, just like the AMD numbering system.

i dont understand the base/mid bit but the Ti is basically a GTX565 and the 550Ti is the 555

So that would make:
Base = 560
Mid = 562.5
Ti = 565

!!!

I guess the only real way to know, is by the comparison charts and reviews, 'cos the numbering system makes no sense at all (to me anyway!)

Well the 5870 performs better in DX9 and in a lot of DX10 games but the HD6870 is generally better in DX11 games because it has access to morphological anti-aliasing and is better at tessellation.

In terms of the 3 cards being discussed it depends what feature of a GPU appeals the most:
Performance: (best)GTX560Ti > HD6870 > GTX560
Power consumption under load: (least) HD6870 < GTX560 < GTX560Ti
Heat: (least) GTX560 < GTX560TI < HD6870
