I think the PCS one is better, but if you're set on scan, go for #1

Corfates spec above outclasses the two 3XS specs mentioned in every respect. Although the 670 GTX is technically slower than the 680 GTX at stock clocks, the difference is so minimal that purchasing a 680 GTX nowadays is more or less a waste of money.

I bought two mate.

:<

Same here, would have loved to tri-sli those but as you mentioned some stability issues and it is not good value for money considering the £100 price difference with the GTX 670 and almost identical performance

ok thanks for the replies

I thought the new Ivy Bridge was the new wah-hoo ,thats why I was drawn to those. But after what dangro said about the specs you posted, Im seriously thinking about getting those suggested specs.

Thanks

The GTX 670 has almost the same performance as the GTX 680 and it is cheaper, I think there are on stock right now. I would go for the GTX 670.

More affordable to get a sli set up with 2 gtx 670 and from benchmarks not much difference in performance.

Could I ask in what way does the PCS outclass the 3XS ones, just so I'm clearer ? :)

I've looked at some benchmarks and it seems quite even overall.

Well the PCS spec that Corfate suggested is basically better balanced.
For gaming you just do not need to overclock at all, nor do you need the most expensive CPU out there - which is what the 3XS's have.

The CPU Corfate picked it still a pretty hefty Ivybridge and will last for many years, the GPU is Nvidia's latest offereing and as said is slightly worse than the 680 but not by nearly as much as its price difference would suggest, and it will play any current game very easily indeed.
The SSD is bigger than the 3XS spec that had an SSD.

So yeah as I said the PCS is basically better balanced, has the better bits of each of the 3XS specs and got rid of some of the unnecessary stuff :) , oh and is slightly cheaper as well :)

Fancy configuring a PC at a competitors site and then asking here for constructive comments on the build of it?

That's like peeing through someones letterbox and then knocking on the door to ask the owner how far it went lol

Or going into a Ford dealer and asking for comments on the latest Vauxhall car lol

Never thought I would see a post like that and I am shocked that it got so many replies here.

Thanks for your nice reply Rakk, and thanks for info given by others - has given me a good idea of the PCS specs.

I didn't fully understand how this forum worked.

Apologies
