Was the machine overclocked for you by PCS?

If not be careful as if your CPU dies as a result of the overclocking it is not covered under the warranty.

On topic though I do not know overclocking settings, Sorry.

The spec only says : Overclocked Intel® Core™i7-2600k Quad Core (3.40GHz @ max 4.80GHz)
the stable max they can achieve with your setup can vary alot depending on the cooler, ram, cpu, motherboard and luck in the end of the day

out of curiosity, you buy a pre OC'd comp right then futher OC it...it dies..is there a way to tell someone tweaked the OC'd settings to pump more juice out of it ? like a back log or something? because if the OP's cpu did die due to his "custom" oc then there wouldnt be a way to tell due to the fact that he ordered a pre OC'd machine...am i right in believing this is the case?

Someone correct me if im wrong but im pretty sure all the settings are stored on the system
PCS will have their own record of the settings they applied
so when they receive the system for an RMA or whatever,
if the two sets of settings dont match up then they will know......

Ah right, sounds like a good idea im sure that is probably what they do..check if there are "new" profiles since they dispatched the machine
