4 Beeps At Startup

When I turned on my PC a short time ago I got four beeps instead of the usual one. The PC loaded fine after a few minutes but I'm just wondering if this is an issue I need to worry about? From looking on Google it could be a hardware problem or an issue with the memory. I only bought my PC a few months ago so I'm really hoping there's nothing I need to worry about.

If it was 1 long and 3 short beeps it may be a 'false positive' to do with the monitor. Make sure the monitor is turned on first before you boot the PC.
If it never happens with the monitor always on then that may well be the issue.
However you said it took a few minutes to load which indicates maybe it is another problem.

Thanks for the response. I haven't turned on the PC since so I'm not sure if it will give me any problems. It worked fine while I was using it after the 4 beeps. I guess I'm just paranoid because my last PC died suddenly when it was less than 3 years old.

Not being paranoid at all, the beeps are a warning so always good to investigate what they are trying to say. Hopefully it is just the 'false positive' and if it doesn't happen with the monitor switched on before you boot the PC and it boots as normal then hopefully all fine.
If not post back here and I'm sure people will help you identify the issue if its not the above.

Wish I'd found this BEFORE I asked the Tech Support guys how we were going to diagnose a GPU fault. Sure enough, I turn the monitor on before I fire up the PC, all is good. Leave the monitor off, Beeeep...beepbeepbeep! So yeah, can stop worrying. The guys are so polite and patient, huge shout out to them
