Hi Guys,

i have previously cancelled an order due to ordering an intel, which i now regret. Anyhow, some of you lovely people suggested this build below which i have added a more powerful CPU and Ram. Could anyone give me feedback and any suggestions on improvement. I don't ideally want to be spending any more.

This will be used on a samsung g9 and mainly for single player campaign although i will be using occasionally for online (battlefield 2042 looks awesome)

any feedback would be appreciated

No reason no, would 16gb suffice? therefore upping the motherboard and decreasing ram? if that is what you are getting at?
yeah that's what @SpyderTracks is saying, if you later find you need extra RAM its no hassle to upgrade that, a motherboard upgrade at a later date would be a complete rebuild..........

actually regards the ram, i would suggest keeping 32GB. AMD ryzen can gain up to 10% boost if you have 4 ranks of ram (this is not channels like some think). To achieve this you need either 4 single rank ram sticks or 2 dual rank ramsticks. So either 4x8 or 2x16.

yeah the difference aint huge, and you got decently long wait time in front of you. So just save a buck or two a week and you can upgrade later if you decide to do so :D

This is the only benefit of having to wait, we can save and upgrade in the meantime haha thanks again

you will be more than happy with this amd build, it is worth the extra wait
Yes im buzzing to be honest. Although i have already been waiting a month, i was a little disheartened to learn how far intel have fallen behind. Should have done my homework eh!

Look on the bright side, at least you found out early enough to make the change. You're going to be so much better off in the long run :)

Exactly! Kinda blessing in disguise having to wait as gave me time to chat to you guys! Although this was stupid of me, it worked out in the end ha.

Hello, it’s me again

I was hoping someone could help with a question I have.
I have seen quiet a few of the helpful experts on here mentioning issues with 3600mhz ram.

would you guys recommend switching from 3600mhz to 3200mhz?

I have posted my specs below. Also any further suggested amendments are welcome

thanks again guys

The issue was mainly with 4 x 3600mhz sticks but saying that there’s very little performance gain from the 3200mhz to the 3600mhz because of the timing difference.

You can buy 3600mhz and manually adjust the timings to whatever you like and we think recent BIOS updates have fixed the instability issue.

If it’s gaming I’d reduce to 3200mhz, if it’s rendering or something I’d leave it at 3600mhz
