A build for Dayz

Looking at a tower for DayZ mainly but I'll be playing BF4 too. I've gone with a K model chip and a top spec cooler for the option to OC in the future as price wise there isn't much in it.

The H100 is overkill for an i5. I think an H60 is the right choice for any but perhaps a highly overclocked i5 (the sort of level not all i5's would be able to reach), I can personally vouch for that.
An H100 will be noisier as well.

Is it just for gaming ? Do you have a budget?

Ideally £1000...ish tower only. I won't need peripherals or an OS. Can stretch to £1200 depending if it would make a difference. I was thinking on the gtx 980 instead of the 970 but I'm not going to be getting new 4k monitors so not sure if the extra £150ish would be worth it, 1080 is fine for me. I played dayZ on my last pc on low settings for everything so it will be a huge improvement regardless. It's about the game play for me on that particular game.

Yes it's mainly for gaming.

I like the temp monitoring software on the 80 and 100. Does the 60 have it. What about going for the 80?

If it is mainly for gaming I wouldn't bother about overclocking, there is a significant difference in price between the i5-4690 (non-k) and the triple copper heatpipe compare to the k version + h100i. I would go with a bigger psu instead (for SLI) and/or an ssd

Ok cool. So if I were to add another 970 or equivalent in the future for Sli, what would be a suitable psu do you recon? just added a 970 says 650w is ok....?

I don't know what tools the 80 and 100 come with but there are plenty of free temperature monitors that will monitor CPU and other temperatures.
I like CPUID HW Monitor, but there are others that other people prefer.

Well I have just this minute placed my order. Went for a 750w and h80i .....leaves Sli options open. Now the hard bit....THE WAIT!!!!!!
